Body and Appearance
1. Describe the character's height and build. Is he heavyset, thin, short, rangy? Haine's about average height and is pretty skinny. She's got some muscle but it's certainly not all that noticable. Even though she's got a slimmer figure, her body fat percentage is still off the charts.

2. How old is he? Fifteen.

3. Describe his posture. Does he carry himself well or does he slouch? Haine stands up pretty tall, though she'll slump in chairs or when leaning on things.

4. How is his health? Is he fit or out of shape? Any illnesses or conditions? Any physical disabilities? Haine has a pretty good immune system, though she's prone to get fevers and colds from overheating her brain, aka thinking too much.

5. How does he move? Is he clumsy, graceful, tense, fluid? She's got a pretty swagged out stride when she walks. Otherwise, she's pretty clumsy. Her ballet is especially wobbly but it looks fun to others and she doesn't particularly mind that she's not doing it correctly. When working, though, she's got a fluidity about her when she's getting the job done.

6. How attractive is this character physically? How does he perceive himself in the mirror? Other people consider Haine cute and sometimes pretty, and truthfully, she's a looker, especially when she dresses up. To Haine, though, when she looks in the mirror, she sees someone who isn't worthy and probably isn't all that attractive because she's so down on herself.

7. Describe his complexion. Dark, light, clear, scarred? Pretty pale. Not too much in the way of scars or marks.

8. Describe his hair: color, texture, style. Haine has soft, long light brown hair, though it's obvious it's a little damaged from bad dye jobs in the past. She styles it down, normally, though she'll put it up or braid it based on what's happening that day (work, a dance, a meeting, etc).

9. What color are his eyes? Arina Tanemura is HIDEOUS at eye colour consistency. They're usually a soft honey colour, but they've been drawn as dark brown, violet, and even blue. They're amber though.

10. Does the character have any other noteworthy features? Her two front teeth are fake. You can't tell unless she takes them out.

11. What are his chief tension centers? Her hip bones and legs. She's constantly up and doing something, unless she's sitting in class or at a council meeting. Haine's also an expert at leg movements and focuses on them heavily when attacking, using her arms and hands normally for sword fighting or kendo-style battle.

12. What is the character's wardrobe like? Casual, dressy, utilitarian? Bright colors, pastels, neutrals? Is it varied, or does he have six of the same suit? She dresses in a style that's casual to her, but not to the common man. She's rich so she goes to rich people stores just out of principal. Though Haine doesn't really like to put a huge emphasis on money, she i kind of ignorant on how the common person lives, only being part of two extremes. She's been on the streets so she's worn some street clothes, but doesn't anymore. Her wardrobe is filled with clothes that are a bit more expensive than most. She has quite a few clothes, though she rarely gets to wear them since she goes to a school with a uniform. She owns one student council unifrom, two regular uniforms, and then a bunch of other preppy clothes. Haine doesn't own many dresses though, as she doesn't really get to go to too many events where they're needed.

13. Do his clothes fit well? Does he seem comfortable in them? She does! They normally match her bubbly personality by being cute and innovative, another sign of their designers being for big name than normal clothing. Most of her outfits look one of a kind. Haine doesn't really care too much about clothing as long as it's something she can move in.

14. Does he dress the same on the job as he does in his free time? If not, what are the differences? No, she wears her student council uniform while at school and her maid-esque uniform when working. For jobs, she'll normally wear some form of big, loose dress.

15. You knew it was coming: Boxers, briefs or commando? Panties. Just. Normal panties.



Speech
1. What does this character's voice sound like? High-pitched, deep, hoarse? Her voice is decently high, but not so high as to be annoying. She just sounds like a high school girl.

2. How does he normally speak? Loud, soft, fast, evenly? Does he talk easily, or does he hesitate? Normally pretty loud and fast. She's pretty easily excitable and forgets to keep her voice down sometimes. She talks pretty easily and will be kind of blunt in some situations. When serious, though, her tone is a lot softer and more even.

3. Does the character have a distinct accent or dialect? Any individual quirks of pronunciation? Any, like, you know, verbal tics? No. She does tend to mix up words sometimes though.

4. What language/s does he speak, and with how much fluency? Japanese, and she's fluent, but has a hard time with some words and their definitions, sometimes.

5. Does he switch languages or dialects in certain situations? No, she normally keeps the same tone all the time.

6. Is he a good impromptu speaker, or does he have to think about his words? Haine normally just says whatever is on her mind, though it might not be the best thing to do at the time.

7. Is he eloquent or inarticulate? Under what circumstances might this change? Not eloquent at all. Taking her to fancy parties is a hassle since she doesn't really do a good job with being formal.



Mental and Emotional
1. How intelligent is this character? Is he book-smart or street-smart? WAY more street smarts than book smarts. Haine was never particularly good with school in the first place, so when she hit the streets in her middle school years, she filled up her head with knowledge on fighting and how to get by in a gang. She's not very good at any subject, except maybe gym.

2. Does he think on his feet, or does he need time to deliberate? Being an ex-gang leader, Haine had to learn to get stuff done and to think pretty fast.

3. Describe the character's thought process. Is he more logical, or more intuitive? Idealistic or practical? She's logical...in her own way. She's a pretty simple girl, so usually she'll have a pretty simple thought process. When things get serious, though, she is able to come up with ideas that actually fly and are executed well. Normally, though, they aren't well conceived. She's practically idealistic, I guess? She can be a good mix of both. When it comes down to it, though, she's wholly intuitive. She is really good at sensing that people are hurt or upset, and pretty much understands more about how people feel more than anything else.

4. What kind of education has the character had? She's currently (at this point where I'm taking her) in her first year of high school, so 10th grade. She's had a pretty prestigious education, though she did miss a lot of middle school. Even though she's had a top notch education, she's still an idiot.

5. What are her areas of expertise? What, if anything, is he interested in learning more about? Physical education is her strong point, if you're talking school wise. She's a whiz at P.E. and that's about it.

6. Is he an introvert or an extrovert? Extroverted, definitely! She's a rather lonely girl, so she likes to try to surround herself with people even though none of it ever really works.

7. Describe the character's temperament. Is he even-tempered or does he have mood swings? Cheerful or melancholy? Laid-back or driven? She's usually pretty feisty, though cheerful. She has an extremely huge drive concerning absolutely everything. She probably wouldn't have survived everything she's been through if she didn't have one. She's lost her way sometimes, but in the end she's an extremely driven girl.

8. How does he respond to new people or situations? Is he suspicious, relaxed, timid, enthusiastic? She's very welcoming to new people. Unless she knows them and has a reason to be hesitant, she's very enthusiastic and friendly.

9. Is she more likely to act, or to react? Both! She's on all sides of the issue.

10. Which is her default: fight or flight? Fight. Always.

11. Describe the character's sense of humor. Does he appreciate jokes? Puns? Gallows humor? Bathroom humor? Pranks? She has a sense of humour and she's the kind of girl to laugh at obvious and cheesy puns. If it goes beyond that, it'll go over her head.

12. Does the character have any diagnosable mental disorders? If yes, how does he deal with them? No.

13. What moments in this character's life have defined him as a person? Gosh, there'd be a lot. There's when she first met Shizumasa, when she started running with a gang, when Shizumasa saved her, when her father sold her, when she learned who her real father was, god there's a lot.

14. What does she fear? She fears never being good enough. She fears not being able to succeed.
